Introducing Gree

Heat Pumps!

WHAT ARE GREE HEAT PUMPS?

Gree heat pumps transfer heat from the outdoors to you home’s interior and vice versa. Homes in Waterloo, Kitchener, and the surrounding areas can efficiently stay warm over the winter thanks to this method which uses electricity (not gas) saving you money each month! Best of all, a Gree heat pump can last up to 15-20 years if it is properly maintained.

Gree heat pumps excel when it comes to energy efficiency. Their products have high ratings for both HSPF (Heating Seasonal Performance Factor) and SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio), exceeding industry norms.

When it comes to sound, Gree's inverter technology is designed with a low frequency torque and noise control, maintaining constant temperature and energy savings while allowing you to regain pleasant outdoor living space.

How All Heat Pump Systems Work

Heat pump units require being hooked up to your home’s furnace. Although we think exclusively about the heat when it comes to our furnaces, we often forget that home air circulation is a big part of the furnace’s job.

Heat pumps, unlike furnaces, produce chilly or warm indoor air using electricity rather than a gas flame to produce heat. It also means that using a heat pump throughout the colder fall and spring months will result in decreased utility costs, giving your gas furnace a rest.

When we connect a heat pump unit to your furnace, we may add an evaporator coil unit to the existing furnace system above the furnace fan if you don’t have one already. This allows the furnace fan to blow cool air throughout our homes thanks to the refrigerant that runs through the copper pipes of the evaporator coil and you heat pump (as seen in the heat pump diagram).
